 Job Description:

Would you like to work for an established, well-respected, family run business? Rondean Machinery is looking to recruit a suitable Engineering Apprentice to help with their engineering/manufacturing workshop.

Duties will Include:

  • Undertake the maintenance of engineering, manufacturing and sheet metal machinery
  • Rebuild, Repair and service machinery Conventional and Computer Controlled Machining,Multi-Skilled Maintenance to include Electrical and Mechanical skills and Fabrication
  • Learn to set and operate a range of equipment including guillotine’s, lathes, and mills
  • You will learn to produce components using hand fitting techniques
  • Work safely ensuring the safety of personnel and clients on site
  • Get involved with development projects across the Northeast & UK
  • Responsible for the new machine tool system, cleaning of machinery & machine tools
  • You will also learn to undertake a variety of mechanical and electrical maintenance activities
  • Working as part of a team to carry out breakdown maintenance and repairs
  • Diagnose and repair faults on machinery
  • Good awareness of health and safety considerations
  • Follow well documented set up and machining Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for production parts

Skills Required:

  • Maths and English GCSE’s at D or above or equivalent qualifications
  • Excellent communications skills are required as this job entails daily contact with all personnel
  • Written & Verbal communication skills enabling you to complete reports
  • You must be able to explain problems and how they were dealt with clearly and concisely
  • Good eyesight and hand to eye coordination
  • You must be able to work in a team orientated environment
  • You will need to be accurate and thorough in your approach
  • Be able to demonstrate initiative and be able to work independently

Commencing Salary: £133.00 per week

Working Week: 38 Hours = Monday – Thursday, 8.30am – 5.00pm / Friday 8.30am – 2.30pm
